Canon EOS 1D Mark II with Canon 400mm/f5.6 and 2x Converter
1/1250th at f11 ISO 800

With National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation playing in the background, the tree goes up.

Nicole's grandma didn't come out for Thanksgiving so after dinner we all went to her house.

Uncle Rico likes to lay on top of the printer.  It looks comfortable to me.

Because of my plantar faciitis I've decided to pedal this bike throughout the winter months.  Hopefully, I can stay in shape with the bike while resting my foot.

I'm dread the cold weather except for the fact that the cold brings bald eagles into my area.  Taking this photo today makes me ready for below freezing temps for a couple weeks straight.

I'm a big fan of Quad City style pizza but unfortunately my wife is not.  I had a craving for Frank's in Silvis, IL but was talked into trying a place we had never been to instead.  We went to Hall of Fame Pizza and Wings in Bettondorf, IA.  The pizza was average but we had a good time.

It was one of those nights where I was doing things other than photography and I knew I had taken this photo at work so I just let this be the photo of the day.

Remember the old days when you had to copy down your football pics every week.  Now I just snap a cell phone pic.  It's very helpful on Sunday, when I can't remember if I picked the Jets or the Ravens.

Always bring your camera when you go to the grocery store so you can take a detour out of town and catch a sunset.

Not a great photography day :(

My niece had a tumbling meet today.  It was fun to photograph even though high school gym light is horrible.

There wasn't much going on at the Lock and Dam today, although I did see two bald eagles and talked to a lady who said she saw ten on the Iowa side.  Its time to get excited about eagle season!

I don't think I have ever drank a Pabst Blue Ribbon but I find their logo irresistible.

Here she is again.

Nicole made mention of how few times she appears in my pictures compared to the kids.  I guess we'll have to change that.

Our first snow of the year.

I need bifocals but declined them at my last visit to the eye doctor.  Because of my near-sightedness my eyes are like macro lens' so when I need to see close I just take my glasses off.

I've heard the nay sayers who talk about how kids don't play together anymore and it's the end of socialization blah blah blah.  I don't know exactly what the world will be like when these two are adults but I do know that it will filled with people who had sleep overs where one kid played a game on the TV while the other played a game on the laptop.  In that world they will be normal and it's usually not that bad to be normal.

More leaves to pick up, but as least my tree don't look like Terri's

Logan got to buy the new Call of Duty game today (the day it came out).  There was a short time in the mid 90's when I bought some CD's on the day they came out so I know his joy.

I'm so proud of myself, I actually put a little effort into this project tonight.

I took this at a grain elevator near my Mom's house.  We make the black round part where I work.  It's a C-962.

A little bit of fall color.

A work photo at a funky angle to make it seem more interesting.
