Bald Eagle at Sunset

I occasionally go to Lock and Dam 13 on the Mississippi River to photograph birds.  There wasn't much action tonight.  This far off eagle silhouette was the best I could do.

Very dramatic photo.

That actually made me do a sharp little intake of breath.

I love that one! How did you turn out w/ your 10 birds?

Hi Matt! Thanks for the encouragement on my 365 project. It is my first time. I don't give too much forethought to what I am going to do. I just kind of let the day dictate it. I am a full time SLP so the photography is secondary and I can see it starting to slip my mind as school starts back up again. I am trying though! I also have not done any editing yet.....just posting raw. I have only shot with my Nikon D3000, but I also have a point and shoot digital Olympus and a camera phone when I can't take the Nikon along. THanks again....and how did you find me? I don't publish my blog....

10 Birds is still going until the middle of May. I didn't do much with it this fall but I'm excited about the return of the bald eagles.

Hi Megs! Although I try to push my photography and take better and better pictures when I look back at my previous 365 project the family moments are some of my favorites. If you can complete 365 days of "this is what we did today" type photos you will be very happy with the end result.
How I found your blog: I did a google search for 2013 365 Project site:blogger.com to find others who were starting the same project and your's came up.
Matt
